Owing to his dual qualification in Civil Engineering & Law his expertise spans key areas such as delay analysis, delay damages, variation claims, extension of time, contract administration, and dispute resolution through arbitration and litigation in oil & gas, power, cement, steel, and highways. His multidisciplinary insight and commitment to advancing best practices have positioned him as a leading voice in the field of construction law.
Vyapak Desai

Mr. Vyapak Desai serves as Co Chair of the SCL Mumbai, guiding chapter strategy and programming for construction law, arbitration, and dispute resolution in the region. He was the Partner leading the International Dispute Resolution & Investigation practice at Nishith Desai Associates in Mumbai, with extensive experience in arbitration, cross border litigation, and infrastructure sector disputes. He is an independent practitioner and runs Vyapak Desai Law Chambers.

Mr. Raj Panchmatia serves as the Secretary of the Society of Construction Law – Mumbai, where he plays a key role in coordinating the chapter’s strategic initiatives and academic programmes. Prof. Venkatraghavan Ramadurai serves as Steering Committee member of the SCL-Mumbai and actively contributes to the initiatives of SCL-Mumbai. Prof. Venkat is Program Chair Masters in Construction Law and Arbitration and Professor of Practice - Law at Manipal Academy of Higher Education’s Manipal Law School. Prof. Venkat is instrumental in starting India’s First LLM/PG Diploma in Construction Law & Arbitration.

Mr. Arjun Doshi is the member of Steering Committee of the SCL – Mumbai. He is leading disputes vertical at Adani Ports and SEZ Limited. He strategises, supervises and conducts high value complex litigation and arbitration matters for ports and logistics business. Arjun also teaches commercial and investor-state arbitration at various Indian and foreign universities.
Niyati Gandhi

Niyati Gandhi is a Partner in the Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co’s Dispute Resolution practice. She specialises in international and commercial law. Her practice includes international investment and commercial arbitration, complex commercial litigation and multi- jurisdictional enforcement. Niyati also regularly advises on sanctions. Niyati has worked on several cross-border enforcements of large foreign judgments and awards in multiple jurisdictions including India, UAE, Singapore, Mauritius, US, UK and Cayman Islands.
